3 Days Nyungwe Chimpanzee

3 Days Primates tour in Rwanda take you to Nyungwe Forest National park, the biggest mountain rain forest in East Africa and probably the most preserved forest in Africa. The trip furnishes the best opportunities to spot and encounter Rwanda’s chimps in this mighty rainforest. These are the first non-habituated chimps you will ever trek yet still give you the best experience.
You will also have a chance to explore the nearby communities to see the world through their eyes. You will enjoy the traditional performances, taste the local cuisines and also move around the community to see their day from today way of living.

Detailed Itinerary


Day 1: Transfer Kigali to Nyungwe forest national park.
In the morning after breakfast, our experienced driver guide will pick you from the lodge you will have spent the night and start on your journey to Nyungwe forest national park. The journey will give you chances of having breathe taking views of the thousand hills of Rwanda covered with alluring lush.
You will have a stopover at the National museum and have a part of the tormenting history of Rwanda in pictures and monuments. You will also have your lunch here and then proceed to the park.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and community walk.
Having had your breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing and afterwards start your trek for the chimps in Nyungwe forest national park. You will have a simple hike through the thick lush of the forest in your search for the habituated chimps that live up in the trees of this forest. On your trek you will also encounter several primates like the colobus monkeys and baboons.
Later in the evening, visit the local communities around the park and explore the local cultures of the people of Rwanda. You can also engage in the traditional dances and performances, have a taste of the local cuisine here to experience the way of life of the local people.

Day 3: Travel back to Kigali City
