Day 1: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National park.
Early morning after breakfast, take off for Kidepo valley national park in the far north east of the country. The journey gives you beautiful sceneries of the dry savannah alongside the highway, driving through Mabira forest, the once largest tropical forest in Uganda, tea and sugarcane estates, crossing Africa’s longest river, the experience is all amazing.
Kidepo valley national gives a true wilderness experience, being locked in the middle of the bush with just elephants, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, warthogs and other wildlife species as the only neighbors is such a thrilling adventure. A lunch stop over will be at Mbale town of the Bagisu – Imbalu people, driving past the soft spoken though interesting Pian-Upe game reserve and then proceed to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning game drive to Kanangorok hot springs and visit the Karamajong people.
While in this park, have an early morning game drive, of course after breakfast. This Safari drive goes around the park, offering beautiful views of the African wilderness dipped in the valley. Spot the lions, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, buffaloes, bushbucks and other mammals summing to more than 65 mammal species in just the first minutes of the drive. The drive goes up to the isolated Kanangorok hot springs.
Later in the afternoon, after lunch, visit the local community around Kidepo valley national park and meet with the Karamajong people, admire their Manyatta huts and kraals, explore their way of life, engage in the traditional dance and also have a taste of their local cuisine.
