A gorilla tour is one of the most exclusive trips one can ever have in Africa. Encountering with the endangered mighty apes of the forest, watching them play from one tree branch to the other is an experience so satisfying for life. The trip takes you to one of the chained volcanoes of the Virunga ranges; Mgahinga national park.

Pickup from Kigali – Transfer to Bwindi National Park or Mgahinga national park

Day 1: Pick up at the lodge and gorilla trekking experience in Mgahinga national park.
Very early in the morning at 5am, be picked by our knowledgeable guide who will transfer you to Mgahinga national park in order to catch up with the gorilla trekking briefing in time. It is almost a two hour drive to the park headquarters.
While here, be briefed by the park guide on the dos and don’ts while trekking the great giants of the jungle. Be divided into groups of eight individuals; the accepted number of trekkers to see a gorilla family per day.
Having been briefed, now enter into the jungle to hunt for the endangered creatures of the forest. Trek through thick forest, on slippery grounds, having to hold onto tree branches for support, avoiding thorny trees and somewhere having to pave your way through, while searching for elusive mountain gorillas.
Finally, meet the gorillas in their natural habitats, watch them play with each other, others fighting, lucky trekkers watch adult females as they breastfeed the little ones. See the mighty silverback aggressively watch over his family, pounding his chest to threaten away the suspected threats.
Take as many pictures as you want provided the camera has no flash as it might scare away these great apes. All this strictly takes one hour, after its elapses, slope back to the headquarters and drive back to the lodge or transfer backto Kigali airport for departure flight.
All trekkers are advised to carry snacks and enough drinking water that would take them through the day.
