Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Nairobi airport to Maasai Mara national park.
Our experienced guide will pick you from the airport, and transfer you to Maasai Mara national park. While on the journey, he will be briefing you about the whole trip as well as showing you around, the prominent buildings in Nairobi town; it being the capital city of Kenya. Reach the park, check in at the lodge and have some relaxation from the flight fatigue as you prepare for the next day.

Day 2: Full day game drive.
Have an early breakfast, and later hit the bush for the best game drive experience you will ever have. Game drives in Masaai Mara are ones where in just a few minutes of the drive, you immediately start spotting the cheetahs, warthogs, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, giraffes, jackals, lions, elands and several others. On this game drive there are chances of spotting both nocturnal animals running back to their shelters as well as the diurnals going to hunt for preys & pastures.

Day 3: Transfer to Kampala.
In the morning, have an early breakfast and start on your full day journey to Uganda’s capital Kampala, go past the Elgon Mountain on the boarder of Uganda and Kenya. Reaching Uganda, you will cross the mighty Nile River, Africa’s longest rivers, go through Mabira forest; once Uganda’s largest tropical forest and then hit Kampala, a city that never rests.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.
In the morning after breakfast, start on the eight hour journey to Bwindi which is also still an experience of its own. Stop at the equator for the water experience and photos, see how water swirls in opposite directions in the different hemispheres of the world.
Then proceed to Igongo Cultural center for lunch stopover in Mbarara. From here, continue enjoying a comfortable drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park filled with beautiful views of the Kasese hills, Mountain Rwenzori, and the stunning landscapes tinted with green vegetation.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Kigali airport.
Have an early breakfast and head to the office headquarters of the park for a simple briefing from the park ranger guide about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking and also be divided into groups of eight, the maximum number of people to visit a gorilla family in a day.

Start on the hunt of one of the gorilla groups in Bwindi, an experience so awesome that cannot be easily forgotten. Walking through the rugged terrains of the forest and following the gorillas is a challenging activity that takes you through the thick lush with slippery terrains. Trekkers also encounter other different mammals, bird species and butterflies. Trekking might take a day or even just one hour, it depends on your luck of the trekkers that day.
After this activity, be transferred to Kigali airport for the flight back home. That will be the end of the safari with us.
